Auckland Transport Travelwise rap competition
Last reviewed: 27/11/2012 9:11 a.m.

A rap which was written and performed by students from Pakuranga’s Riverhills School made its debut recently at Westfield Pakuranga as part of an Auckland Transport Travelwise karaoke competition.

The rap was written for the Travelwise programme which promotes road safety in schools throughout Auckland. More than 300 Auckland schools are signed up to the programme which was first launched in 2005.

Students from participating Travelwise schools were invited to perform their version of the rap in a bid to win Westfield vouchers.

It is hoped that the rap will be used as an example of how the Travelwise programme can be incorporated into the school curriculum.
