Review of Integrated Transport Assessment (ITA) Guidelines
Consultation Dates: 19 April – 25 May 2012
Auckland Region
Auckland Transport is currently reviewing and updating the ARTA guidelines produced in 2007. Feedback is sought from traffic engineers, planners or any other parties affected or interested in the day to day operation of the ITA guidelines.
Key changes in the draft guidelines are:
• More direction given on the standards expected and the contents of an ITA.
• Further emphasis on predicted mode shares, identifying mitigation measures and exploring the funding and responsibility for implementing such mitigation.
• Less emphasis on considering national and regional policies, with more focus on key transport documents such as Auckland Transport’s tactical strategies for public transport, walking and cycling and arterial roads.
The new guidelines are available here.
