Auckland Transport is responsible for maintaining and building new footpaths and walkways around the city of Auckland. 

• Renewal and upgrade schedules for each area of Auckland City, are available in our Maintenance section.

• New footpaths are funded from the annual budget and built during the summer construction season.

Until Auckland Council has an opportunity to review the location request process, the current process will remain in place.
